This micrometeorite was found in Buskerud, Norway and is an exceptional piece because it contains a very rare platinum nugget (PGN). A heavy metal that was created only at the very end of the supernova life, when the star had already transformed the heaviest elements we know. The nugget is very clear in the black and white image from the electron microscope and is confirmed by the attached composition analysis (EDS). This black, subspherical stone with atypical gas vacuoles on the surface is certainly a messenger from another star system. The stone is placed in a durable case with a covered slide microscope. It is therefore possible to enjoy its unique beauty at any time by observing it yourself under a microscope.
